you cannot get the downloadable version on mobile, and likely won't be able to anytime soon. There are several issues with porting the game to mobile, unfortunately.
I play on a HP laptop and have been wanting to play this game for awhile now. I played the browser version for a bit but now I want to try this. When I went to the 'Clan Down loader' it gave me the best option for my device. However when i went to open the file it told me that I needed to download an extra app to be able to download the files? Is there anyway I'd be able to play this game without any addons?
Could you please add the dark forest if possible. Honestly, Idk think cats who murder a clamate in cold blood for no apparent reason belong in starclan.

Then scroll down until you find 'clangen'. Double click on it, and 'extract all'. Then confirm and wait. When it's done, double click on 'Clangen' again, scroll, and 'clangen' should be a different symbol. Double click and wait. It might take a moment, but it'll load.
I love this game but can you fix the change gender option.
for example when I change a female cat to male they can still have kits or if I change a male to female they can't have kits
other than that I would love if you would add the option of certain cats being able to murder others because it would make the game have more drama, and leading to that, it would also be fun if you added affairs/cheating to make your story more investing.
and I don't know if this will be in cruel season or not. I would love it if you would add the option for dark forest cats to take in apprentices from the living also for more less boring stories. That's all! No pressure!
When you change a gender of a cat it has a special note saying that no matter what you change the gender to, it will always be the original gender. (ex. you change a male to female, they will not have kits) this is part of the game.
i assume what you mean for the change gender option is for trans cats, which is an option right above the change gender option. murder and cheating are also in the game already! (edit - you need to toggle a setting in the in-game settings > relations tab in order to have cheating, but even then it's already rare)
male to female cats aren't able to have kits because...they're pretty much still male. same thing with people, if guys choose to be female (trans, ig) it doesn't mean they can suddenly give birth to kids, yknow? bc they're still male.

So I am on a windows 11 and tried downloading it. So I got the file and setup but i cant seem to run it? And when i try to get more instructions it says download the file?? I have been playing the online version as i tried to download this a few weeks ago but now its stopped working - after loading it's showing a black screen. If anybody could help me fix either of these problems it would be helpful! Thanks in advance.

omens from starclan are in the game too! there are omen sight and prophet skills that will give special events and patrols relating to omens and prophecies :)
I cannot play ClanGen, because everything is zoomed in! I can't see the cats' names or traits when selecting my leader/deputy/medicine cat, or most of the recruits. THIS ANNOYS ME TO GREAT EXTENTS. Please fix it!
i assume you're on the online version? on mobile i am unsure what to do if it's zoomed in but for me it seems to resize on its own, on computer you can resize your window to fit the size of the site
- Deputy got the medicine cat (not his mate) pregnant. Other clan members didn't seem to care. He later ended up in a throuple with the leader and one of the elders, and sired/adopted more than a dozen kits over his lifetime.
- The other medicine cat murdered someone in cold blood for annoying her, then got murdered herself. Sent her to the Dark Forest, because the victim was one of my favorite cats.
- A rat king killed eight warriors from two different hunting patrols, and wounded a few others.
Outstanding game. Looking forward to future updates.
The same thing happened to me, (Im on Mac) but I did manage to fix it. All you have to do is find it in finder, and then go from there, usually finder tells you a list of instructions if your having trouble downloading it !! hope this helps. ^^ Don't worry it does work !!
HALP i haven't ever been able to download the game whenever i try to download it after a while it says " file wasn't available on site " anyone have any idea if it's just my computer? { i am on windows 11 } or if its a bug i can fix???
There is, yes, you can run the linux version on Chromebook but there's some extra steps, I advise joining the discord to ask for advice since its a bit of a process.
i'm assuming by "copy of the first game" you mean your saves are the same? there's technically no way to remove saves from one clangen download and have them on another since they lead back to the same folder, and anything that happens on a clan on one game will happen on the other
Go to Settings, then click "Privacy and Security", then scroll down to the bottom. You should see a button prompt that asks you if you want to open Clangen regardless. Click yes.
Hey so there's this update file thing and every time I try to open it to update the game it automatically closes out whether I press any key or just let time 5 sec timer go, so any help would be great (I'm a window user btw)
Recent update, seems like I don't get the tiny kit sprites with the closed eyes anymore. They look multiple moons old from birth. Friend of mine has the newborn kit sprites. Is this a glitch? I'm very sad, I love the tiny babies :(
I was using a Windows when I posted that (on mobile rn) but for chromebook I'm pretty sure you download the Linux version and use some kind of launcher, if you scroll down far enough in the comments you should find something that can help :)

is the exe file in the clangen folder? I think I had that when I tried to put it on my desktop and it was separated from all of the files needed for it to work
Uhh.. I don’t really know what could be causing that.. I looked up entry point not found and found this, I think the game data is a .DLL file… maybe check if it was accidentally moved?

on the downloadable version there's already a dark forest, you have to send cats there manually though

Does it say 'Apple cannot check for malicious software'? If so, right click > open instead of just opening it normally. ^^

Murder is already in the game!! You can use mediators to make cats dislike each other, and that'll give them a boosted chance for murder.

But when I download it, it just becomes a copy of the first game.
