I'm struggling to download this, I can't find a way to turn off my antivirus like others said to do to fix it. Google won't help either, it just says the same thing.
If when you try to open it a red box comes on screen then you have to click the "Show more" button at the bottom left and then click "Run anyway". If it's not that then you'll have to give a description on what's happening when you try to download/run the game.
I'm having problem with the game every time I download it it take me to microsoft app sometimes it is telling me to replace the files and when I do noting happen it just look and tell me to extract the files again noting happen. Then it be saying error loading python dll, the specified module could not be found it does this every time I restart my computer.
Huh, I don't think that's suppose to happen. If you're not already, just extract the files, open the folder up, and run the Clangen.exe program. If you are doing that and it's taking you to... the Microsoft Store for some reason, then idk what is happening. I guess make sure the folder with the game files is not in any other folder if that's a problem. But yeah, sorry, but I'm not sure what is happening.
Hey, I tried downloading the game. I have a windows 11 pro computer, and it downloaded as a zip file. I tried following a tutorial on youtube, however, it did say it was out of date and I assume that's because the "Main" application is no longer available after extracting the file. I cannot find it, and it looks no different after extracting it then it would if you simply double-clicked, and opened the zip in my downloads. Not sure what's going on, but any help would be appreciated.
you have to go into the files and click the file you downloaded and than once you get in there youll scroll through the files and see one that says clan gen and click it extract the files and it should get a file with logo of the game. click that and you got it!
Same, I just came back and updated my game and found out that a whole bunch of stuff was updated, like the medicine cat den had herbs and the GUI was improved and stuff like that. I was so surprised lol
I think we are all ready for cruel session! Honestly, I think it will be fun! Thank you StableSteel for being such a good game creator, I love this game and it's so fun to play!
You have to have ¨Lenux¨ and you have to program it into your computer there are video's talking about it. I have a macOS and......Just use online....don't glicht your computer

Hi! I think I may be able to help! I have the same device. I don't use the online version but I believe that resetting the site data will work but will delete all your existing clans. Something else I could help with is getting the released version (this version) if you want to try it.

Just something I noticed - when multiple cats die in an event during a timeskip, their cause of death in StarClan is listed as "unknown". For example, I had about 8 cats die of eating poisoned prey during a timeskip, and instead of their cause of death being the poisoned prey, it was listed as unknown.
Same happened to me, I send a screenshot a while ago talking about how tons of cats die, all the cats are said to have an unknown death, but the proof of their death to poisoned prey is right there! Maybe its just a glitch?
I loooved this game back in December and I recently decided to redownload it with the updates. It's been going great but for some reason the game keeps closing itself without any warning only a few minutes into each time I open it. Would anyone know why this is happening? Thanks!
:( I don't have a solution but wanted to say this has been happening to me too, i downloaded it about a week ago and it was working fine for a day or so, but now closes constantly and i'm not sure why. i tried even opening a newly downloaded version and it does the same thing..
I asked about this in the discord and was told it has to do with Webroot if you have it as a virus scanner. It bypasses your command even when you set the file as "okay". Was then told the only way to address this was to uninstall Webroot, which I'm not going to do, so probably best to just stick with the browser version.
If you don't have Webroot, then I'm not sure what your guy's issue is but it might be a related thing to your PC's protection.

You should download Itch and download it that way

Update idea: Maybe do a "Confirm timeskip?" because I skip many moons by mistake and miss cat deaths, sickness spreads, etc

Same thing happened to my friend, it may just take time, that or your internet is just bad
Try resetting the site data. It's going to delete all your clans but it should make it work.

I had the same problem.
To fix it you have to find the ClanGen file in Finder by searching. Control-click the app icon, then select Open. Click Open.

I think you can only export you're old clan in the new version, but that might just be me!
