If you've paired cats up or theres a set of mates in the clan it could be a glitch, although it does take 1 or 2+ moons I think (Unless they're madly in love yk) If you're still haveing trouble I suggest the discord!

This happened to me earlier. Sadly i had to go into the pregnancy.json and delete whatever was in there only leaving {} .
And i had to go back in time and hopefully pray to role a cat who was expecting kits, save the game, and going back into the pregnancy file and changing the ID's of the cats. Hope this helps.

A while back I had a chromebook and worked really hard to get linux to run on it so I could play Undertale. So it MIGHT be possible since this game seems to have linux downloads, I just suggest you do some research into how to get linux on your specific chromebook.

Here's what I did! Go to the little apple at the top left of the screen and click on system preferences. Then click on security & privacy (the little house) and go to general. There should be something near the bottom that says "open anyway" click that and then it should work!!
I may not be an expert or any of the people working on the game, but it sounds like it might be that your antivirus is the problem. You might need to check and see if it trusts ClanGen. Most antiviruses don't trust ClanGen due to it being an EXE file, but it's harmless. If it says it doesn't trust ClanGen, I'd suggest marking it as an exception in the antivirus. If that doesn't work, or don't know how to do that, then I have no idea either. Hope this helps!
Yes, If you join their discord, there are channels for save file editing and coding and modding that have pinned guides on all kinds of edits you can do. I can't remember which channel has it, but I know I've seen a guide or a pinned post for pregnancy edits.
Due to new updates I decided to uninstall clangen and reinstall it with the new version. The problem is that it doesn't want to start. I downloaded the game using exactly the same procedure as the first time, but as soon as I enter the data into Thonny, it doesn't want to save and a table of commands/codes appear on the screen that I don't know exactly. And finally I can't close Thonny. I will be glad for help.

Open the clangen_win folder and scroll down till you see a file called ClanGen click it and press extract all, when it's done extracting run the game if your PC says it could be a dangerous file press read more and run anyway you should have the game after that.

perhaps there could be like little preset clans of like the clans in the books, for example a preset with thunderclan with the allegiances of into the wild (if that even makes sense)

You can download 7zip and open the archive. Then just drag the Clangen file to your designated location; like the desktop or another file of your choice and boom! it's just that easy. Within the Clangen file moved from the archive is Clangen.exe, click that and it should open as normal. If you run into any issues ask the Discord; there are plenty of people who will be more than happy to help. ^-^
Also, I am keeping notes on every new thing that I have seen in this update. So far I have noticed:
1. Save button is fancier
2. Pop up asking if you would like to save appears after trying to close the game or go to the main menu
3. New patrol artwork
4. "Allow mild gore and blood in patrol artwork" setting added
5. Unknown Residence has a new background
6. New things that can happen on patrol
7. New outcomes for already existing patrol possibilities
8. Former rogues can now join your clan (Not sure if this is new but I just now noticed it so...)
9. You can now meditate cats multiple times in a moon (Can't have same meditator meditate twice and can't have the same couple be meditated twice in a single moon though)
10. During warrior ceremonies, it may occur that the leader has named a new warrior after a certain atribute (Ex: Marshstar gazes proudly down at them as they name them Wingcloud after their vulnerability)
11. Number of cats outside the clans category added in stats

Does anyone know when the online version will be updated? I can't download the game because my computer isn't compatible. Since I know the online version is usually behind updates, I would just like to know if the online version will be updated to the current update anytime soon or if I'll just have to wait?
The web version is going to remain as it is for a bit because of an incompatibility with some stuff we used to set up the new GUI. I believe this incompatibility is being worked on by the devs of that package, so hopefully it can be fully updated soon <3 keep in mind that there's also only one person keeping the web version updated so it may happen much less frequently just due to that
I've asked about the same problem I've had multiple times. For some reason I can't unzip any new or old saves and only one or two work! I really want some help so I can get the new updates, etc. If anyone knows what to do I would really appreciate any guidance

Ive been playing for a bit now, and so far really enjoying it! However i came across an issue, i went to get on and load my clan up and it was having an error of loading clan.json. Is there a way to fix this so I dont lose my clan?
I've been playing this game on and off for awhile and I love it for storybuilding! In that regard I'd like to suggest a potential feature - unless it's in the game and I haven't found it myself yet, would it be possible to set a "main character" flag to a specific cat at the user's want to prevent a timeskip / patrol / illness-related death? It would be especially useful for those of us that have found a writing tool in ClanGen! I personally have gotten attached to too many "main characters" that suddenly died on rollover, it can be a little frustrating. The ability to save/store certain characters from various clans or saves to be reused or recycled would be neat too, but I'm not an advanced programmer and I'm not sure how viable that would be. :'D In any case thanks for publishing this! For the most part I've greatly enjoyed it!

The web version is not the same as the downloadable version, as long as you can access a browser you will be able to access the web version

MAKE SURE LINUX IS ON FIRST!
Go to the .zip and right click, hit extract all. Move the new 'Clangen' folder to your general downloads.
exit and right click said folder, hit 'open in terminal' and once the files load, type (case sensitive) ./Clangen.
it should be up and running! if problems join the ding dang discord already

Sounds like your anti virus is deleting clangen files, you need to mark clangen as an exception to your anti virus and try redownloading

I editied the files to make a cat preggos and this happened and i was drawing the whole clan as well please help

I recommend downloading the stable version of the game here, it's much easier than attempting to troubleshoot an app like thonny

I am so grateful for the fact that you can now recover lost cats ^-^. No longer going to lose half my clan without a chance to get them back!

If you hover your mouse over the checkbox of a setting, it will give a description of what it does :)

Dear fellow human beings,
In case you might need to know, to transfer save data from version to version you must follow the steps listed below.
1. Search for "clangen" in the search bar right next to the windows logo and open file location
2. Right click on clangen and open file location again
3. Scroll all the way down and open the folder titled "Saves."
4. Copy all of the things in the folder to your clipboard (This includes the clanlist, clan text documents, and clan folders)
5. Download the new version you would like to transfer your data to (Make sure not to delete the old version with your data!)
6. Extract the clangen files, do what you usually do, blah blah blah.
7. Open the new version of clangen
8. Close clangen and go into its files the same way you did in step 1 and 2.
9. Go into the saves folder and delete the things there and replace them with the documents and folders currently copied to your clipboard.
10. Open the new version of clangen, you should see that all of your clans from the previous version are now there.

Your best bet is to join the discord server and make your way to a tech support channel. We have helpers there that may be able to assist!
It's probably because no one has an answer. The only thing I can think of is extracting the files if you have not already done that.
