Hey! Quick question: Whenever I try to open the clan generator after I extract the files, Microsoft tells me that I can't open it since it's not a "Microsoft Verified App". How do I fix this problem?
I noticed something. My clan was slowly getting overpopulated, so once one of my cats found a loner I antagonized it, but then it appeared in my clanlist. Dunno if it was a one time bug or other, but yeah. (The cat was named Maverick, lonesome and formerly a loner)
I've been playing the Github version for a week but then I had to reload Chrome and now it won't load. I just get a grey screen with a black box in the middle when previously it was on the side and not even in the middle. I had a Clan with 1,100 moons and something like 280 cats help 😭
Luckily I have screenshots of the cats I was planning to keep. Unluckily, I don't have screenshots of the cats I was gonna make adopts of lmao. Serves me right ig
They recently updated the web game, you have to convert your save, if you want I can give you the link but it's in the Discord so you could also check there

Is anyone else having issues opening the game on mac? When I try to open the game after confirming that I am okay with running a program from an unknown developer, nothing actually happens, the program just bounces a bit then disappears :(
The website version seems to also not be working when it previously did (at least for me). Just a black screen with gray bars on each side. (edit: i'm using firefox - when i tried opening the site in chrome it seems to work :) )
If you press the file folder called: Clangen, you'll see a bunch of files come up, the first few being file folders. Scroll down until you see a file called Clangen which should be below the base_library folder, Press it and export all the files, then return to the folder and find the Clangen file again, this time appearing as an application.
Thats how you do it on Windows, at least. I hope this helps :)
Has anyone else experienced this? I had just made a clan and 4 moons in a kit in that clan died, but I had no information about their death even though they showed up in the starclan list
Taking a look at the file size problem it seems to be tied up in how you save the character relationships. By saving every relationship event to every character relationship file, it bloats the files by insane degrees.
Player beware: the new update will eat up your storage like there's no tomorrow. The install swelled to 30 gigs over two days of playing with the Nov 27 release. This needs to be fixed before someone breaks their machine. I only noticed because my laptop gave me an alert about low storage.
I'm not the most well-versed in tech stuff but I will admit my laptop isn't the most powerful. There's a thin line about what it can run, but this isn't about what it can run bc the game itself isn't hardware intensive (aside from the memory problem)
I have a bit of a suggestion: a button to randomize the cats you can get when you start a clan, since not everyone is going to like what cats they get at the start, but don't want to make a new clan.
I was going to ask if you could like, make it so that when you timeskip no ones joins unless you accept. It's getting quite annoying honestly. Also maybe add to dead cats how hey died please.
I want to play it, but my computer has been saying its a virus, and its not been letting it. It's been removed and becoming red when I download it, I really want it though! :(
Hey, not sure if this'll help but I think I might know how to help you out. So, when the popup comes up there should be an option saying something like 'ignore or continue anyway' (something like that) it'll be highlighted in a blue-like color and once you press it, you'll be able to continue playing or installing the game. Hope this helps, :)
game freezes whenever i save because theres too many cats in one clan also my computer sometimes freezes when i open it as well (and the client freezes when i open it as well)
may i suggest the possibility of living cats forgetting starclan cats after some time so it doesnt clog the game/possibly to choose a starclan cat to be forgotten? also the possibly to know if they went to the dark forest or starclan?
Edit: this post was made before I realized there was a new update, haha! I'll be sure to check it out and see what's still viable after playing the new version

A clan relations tab. I've seen a few times the "Clan relations have worsened". Is there somewhere to keep track of that?
On patrols, apprentices *HAVE* to go with their assigned mentors. I click add random on patrols a lot, and never really keep track of who's apprentice is who's. It just makes sense y'know?
A toggle option for adding loners/kittypets to the clan. I've started a run that is mostly clanborn cats, unless an injured cat/kitten is found on a patrol.
It would be cool if it were possible that an apprentice automatically becomes a medicine cat on a rare occasion, I feel like this would be a bit more practical, instead of managing each apprentice individually
I think it would be pretty cool to see a bit more sons and daughters. Most of the time, my clan is made up of loners and strays that happen upon patrols, can we have a function to turn this off at a certain number of cats, or toggle it in settings?
Forgive me if I'm asking a lot, it's entirely creator's perogative, these are just my suggestions
Is anyone else having problems with the length of saving times after >50 moons? Just want to know if its a problem with my hardware or not. The software also crashes when i try to 'go back to main menu' in settings
Hey there. I have an old old MacBook Air, 11-inch from mid 2013. I unzipped the files and launched the .dmg, and moved the app and everything. Once I launch it, the icon shows up briefly on my toolbar, verifies itself, and then disappears. It doesn't show me any windows or any error messages, it just doesn't open. I've been wanting to play this forever, how can I fix this??
lol my deputy is old af (156moons), and she keeps trying to retire to the elders den, but then the next month shes back on duty and no matter what i do i cant choose a new deputy. this is funny but idk whats wrong, help?
When going through the saves, I noticed something by each cat, saying if the cat was exiled or not. I know I can manually change the status of the cat, by showing if it is exiled or not, but I was wondering if there is an in-game mechanic, and if so, if it is an event that has to be triggered, or if there is a button, similar to the "kill cat" button. Thanks!
Hi, for some reason the new realese does not work in my laptop, I already tried the 64 bit and the 32 bit, but they say that there is an error on the script, and the old version only works until I click done so I can play (it doesnt let me play the game, only choose the cats) and shows the same error message.

I made a test clan and yes, if you antagonize a loner / kittypet, it will automatically go in your clan list.

blackfur confirmed on discord they would be working on the web version, for mac, im personally a chromebook user so *shrug*

You have to scroll down a bit in the main file, the app is called Clangen instead of main now
Search for file type: application and there should be a file with a unique logo, double click it and it should open!
