A month or so ago I got a problem where if I open the clangen folder in my files it doesn't include the application itself. I've tried redownloading multiple times, but the application still doesn't show after I've extracted the files. Any suggestions for what to do? Because I miss my silly traumatized cats
When I extract my files, it makes a zip folder where you see the option to extract the files and have the application, but it isn't there, it is in the original file ready to go.

One addition to this game that I would LOVE to have in it. Is the ability to see the cats in other clans. Like how you can see cats outside of your clans. It works the same as it, just with new thoughts.
I tried to get the newer version of the game but it didn't work, so i tried playing my old version of the game but it didn't come up with the file. I then re exported it and that did it. so basically what i'm trying to say is if you have an old version of the game, re export it and you should be able to play it. I'm sure the creators of Clangen will fix it soon.
No, you should not need any paid programs to download the game. Most likely this is your computer trying to sell you something you don't need. If you can get past that you should be able to extract it.
Tried updating and my computer said it was a trojan virus??? What should I do 💀 I ended up deleting it due to pure anxiety lol
edit: I do not have discord, and my computer forced me to quarentine the app and delete it from my device, not too sure if it's safe to update the game as I've never had a problem with this game before the update and have no issues like this with any other games.

I can't go/don't have discord, I'm on MacBook and it just keeps giving me this false clanger thing saying: Clangen_macos64.dmg and the Lind is a Disk Image for some reason. (sorry if this was not helpful)

However, getting Chromebook Linux Clangen to work is not something I have much experience with, and I know it can be finicky to get working. I'd recommend joining the discord if you need help with it.

you shouldn't need to type in there, scroll through the rules channel and press the green "verify" button at the bottom
if you've done that and it still doesn't work, maybe you need to pick channels to see in Browse Channels? I know Discord can be weird about that sometimes

just happened to me, i have played it before and gives you warning of virus but its not dangerous, i guess thats why its trying to stop the download <3 (hope that helped)

Just a question- For a future update, could you make it so you could injure cats/give them injuries in the dangerous tab, but instead of them just dying, it gives them an injury, and like the Leader for the kill tab, could there be a box to make it a permanent injury, so if it heals they still can't fully recover (Like Cinder'Pelt). Just asking though, as I wanted to make a Tiger'Claw-like villain, and just want the ability to injure other cats. (Not rushing you, amazing game :3)
Also for the Kill feature (and if you add an injure feature) can you make a toggle so you can make it so a cat killed/injured the cat you used the feature on, and so the ai knows?

I keep trying to download the app, but it keeps telling me there is a virus detected and my laptop won't let me download it. I can't figure out if it's just my laptop or if it has to do with the game itself.
I tried to do the antivirus fix, and it didn't work. it won't let me access the files. Not your fault my computer is messed up, but do you think you could put an un-updated copy of the game up for download so I can have it back?

You should be able to toggle fullscreen in your game settings!

chromeOS doesn't support running applications or exe files like this unfortunately. It is possible, but you'll have to change your OS to Linux

like.. every time i dobale click the file it just shows me the sprites and not the game :(
make sure you're opening the right file? the .exe often isn't at the top, it might be further down in the folder (assuming you're on Windows)
also check that you downloaded the right version? https://clangen.io/download will recommend a download for your computer if you aren't sure

No, you should not need any paid programs to download the game. Most likely this is your computer trying to sell you something you don't need. If you can get past that you should be able to extract it.
No kits are being born since the last update. I don't seem to be the only one with this issue.

I've tried this. I can only see the rules and archive channels, and I can't text in either of them. I just can't seem to find anything that works

People on Chromebooks do play Clangen; there should be a version that works.

Your cats are not gone; saves are stored separately from the game and will still be there when the game is working again.

make sure you didn't move your clangen.exe file out of the game folder? (for instance, you didn't put it on your desktop?)
Also make sure you extracted the file?

You should be able to get the game on Chromebook, though personally I'm not very familiar with the process and I know it can be quite finicky.

the game devs are not taking suggestions at the moment, although this does sound like a kinda neat idea :)

Putting out a version before the latest update would not help in this scenario. The problem is Windows Defender and not on our end.
The update in question was not flagged so harshly for about a week after coming out and only began to have serious issues later.
