i have two problems i dowloaded the game on my brand new windows laptop and if i move it up a moon too fast the whole game closes itself out and a error pops up the second when i try to save my clans it takes forever to save and the whole game freezes.
Hey i have a rpoblem, i made two clans and tried to get back to the old one.. but it wont load, ive relaoded the page, made a new tab, closed and opened again, but it wont work?? does anyone know? I am using web version i know it has bugs so if its just a web thing its ok (the clan is extinct anyways)
yeah i guess its that, i luckily screenshotted all the cats to save them before i made a new clan, i sadly cant see their stats or families but i got their looks saved
Yes, Im having that problem too. It doesn't work on chromebooks from what I got. When you click main.exe it wants to use an app to open it. That only opens the app you choose. I really wish they made this game accessible for people with chromebooks.
i wanna say, i love this game so much! its incredibly fun and ive been sending it to all my friends so they play too. but i would love if there was a family tree type option for each clan. i like to see my cats families but when they get big its hard to keep track of them. so maybe something detailing the relations would be pretty cool, no pressure of course :)
I love this game so much. But a small complaint/suggestion; maybe bring back the player ability to type in their own Clan names? The Random names are really fun to play around with, but if you've maybe got a Clan naming theme it'd be nice to be able to make your own.
I just did a moonskip on my clan and it said on of my cats had a litter of 4 kits but I went onto 'list cats' and there was 5 newborns when no other cat had had kits so I'm very confused!
Someone probably adopted a kit and the game didnt tell you. Check the parents. Its very common for the game not to tell e anything at all sometimes. Doesnt even tell me if nothing happened so I have to check myself. Its not a big issue

Hi! that's your computer antivirus kicking in, which is a good thing, since it means your antivirus is working. Control-click on the icon and hit Open, then keep persisting trying to open it till it lets you.
This is a super neat idea!! One thought I had was more ways to balance clan size, since it's very easy for them to get very huge. Maybe have no hard limit, but make it so at a certain point it's increasingly easier for sickness to spread, maybe prey becomes sparse, etc. Maybe also making it so the chance of an event happening is chances per cat, rather than a chance of a certain event happening per moon regardless of clan size, if that makes any sense

Lost my favorite clan because the game stopped working. If anyone could walk me through how to save my cats and put them in another clan or add save data to a working game it would be greatly appreciated. Whenever I try to open the game when this happens it doesnt work
if you can use a program called Notepad++ (Not to be confused with just regular notepad), you can open up a file that contains all of your cats for that clan and their information such as names as well as various other data I haven't yet figured out the purpose of (most of them are numbers I can't decipher so far). Assuming it isn't corrupted, I haven't tried this out, but in theory you should be able to start a new clan, save it, open the new clan's cat file in N++, and copy+paste cats over from the old cat file. Save the changes you have made, and open that clan in the game; if it works, I imagine there will now be your favorite imported cats from the previous save file.
I would make a backup of the newer clan just in case, though, as this could potentially corrupt or kill that save. I can't guarantee this will work, but I'm just thinking based on what little I do know.

it tells you to close it and open the game again,but when i try its the same clan.So try closing it and opening it again,if that doesnt work you're having the same issue as me. (also playng on chromebook)

just an idea but could you make vengful cats effect the game? like they attempt or they hurt a clan member for whatever reason or even over throw the current leader also having a gathering would also be another cool add on
Could you make it so cats not only can join the clan, but also leave if they get too sad or frustrated with a clan member or the leader? Like having a certain mood level based on what happened in the clan or to a cat that another cat was close to. The closer the cat is to the cat that something bad happened to, the larger the mood drop or something? Also being able to host meetings from the leader's sprite in the list cats thing would be nice. Like pressing a button (maybe under the "Pick a mate" button) to start a meeting and then having an array of topics to choose from? Maybe an apprentice or warrior ceremony? Also would be nice to have omens/prophecies without having to flip to a google doc. Like just an extra little feature for med cats maybe? I love watching Seri's ClanGen videos and I am entertained by her methods of playing but I feel if I played the same (with a google doc and like 500 random generators) I would get overwhelmed

Hey, I really like this simulator and I think it's great! But I do want to point out that loners and kittypets are trying to join the clan too often which is kinda unrealistic imo. Maybe you should decrease the probability a little? It can be important source of new members when you have a few cats in the clan but later in the game it becomes kinda annoying.
Ikr. I have over 100 cats. I had to turn off same sex couple kits and it still continues to skyrocket. TornClan has a fallback clan (A second clan a made) with a much smaller amount of cats because it stresses me out after a while to watch over that many cats
I personally balance it out by not accepting any stray/kittypet in the clan during fall and bare-leaf (cause a clan don't need more mouths at these seasons), and at new and green leaf I just flip a coin. I usually don't allow to add more than one stray/kittypet for season. Plus, if a clan has too much cats, you can take probabilities in your own hands, pick some randomised numbers and kill those yourself in one clean sweep or periodically (explaining this with some disease or rat attack or smth).
Can you please somehow make this available on Android as well? I'm DYING to get to play this. I downloaded the file on my computer but it won't allow me to open it no matter what because it's "Too risky". I just recently found this game and loved it at first sight.
If its the Windows version then you have to click the little thing that says "Why we stopped it" or "problems" idk just click the button and a second button should pop up next to the other one on the bottom that says "Open Anyway"
For some reason, when I try to open this up on my Mac the game icon pops up for a moment and then closes down completely. Has anyone else had any issues with this? Are there any solutions?
Spent a couple hours messing around with the game. Rebooted and found my clan was no where to be seen. I extracted the files like others have said and still nothing. And yes I did save the game. The save files are blank too. :(
How do you get the cats to have different colors and patterns? And the fact that they stay like that as they age is so cool. Even the kits they have seems fairly close to how they look or a mix between the two parents. It looks very interesting and I’d love to learn about it.
is it possible for someone to use the spirits of this game into a "make-a-cat" or cat generator kind of game? maybe with a bonus of cat breeding, that'll be amazing.

- When patroling if we can have a small view cat stats, where you click on the cat to patrol, and it's an option to choose bio and you see all the info like you would when visiting the clan thing and seeing bio, just a smaller version. Again, this goes with the mentor thing on the apprentices. I feel when trying to RP and find the mentors and apps, it would be a lot easily.
- Lastly, in order to see the other cats on the patroling page, an option to scroll down. It's annoying how you can't see the other cats until you send others on patrol. A lot of people have lots of cats.
May I...suggest an indicator or button color change to show that the save game button has been pressed? Just so people (mostly me) don't press it fifty times expecting a different result (...yes. I do that. I know it saves anyway, but visual indications help me realise I've saved that 'turn' and so I wouldn't press it so often if there was one.) It's probably not a particularly important feature to add but it'll certainly streamline 'my' particular experience with it.
Is there a way you can make the game work on chrome? I only have a chromebook and I would love to play this. Or does already work on chrome? Thank you!
there is no chrome version only a mac version , but i managed to get mine to run on chrome. what you have to do is get into developer mode, and run the game on pygame.
you have to go into the game folder and extract the files by clicking on “main”, then open the extracted files and click on main again but this time it should open the game
How do you transfer old saves to the version. I know that the new version comes with a file named "README" and that probably explains it but the file type doesn't work on my computer so uh help pls

same thing happened to me so I think that is included in the bug I reccomend not creating a new clan unless your ready to lose the one you have

Sadly there's no current way to change clans on web edition- you can only have one working clan at a time :(

There's no cursor blinking but you can type in your own name in the text box on the new game screen. Took me a minute to realize that!

So i got the new macbook version but when i downloaded it it said

You need a Microsoft x64 system to run the application, and sadly doesn't work on x86

I agree I also like watching seri’s ClanGen videos but maybe you should be able to rename cats instead of going into saves and doing it that way

go into the settings and click enable clan page background so it says yes. That should do it. For some reason it doesn't default to on.

I had this same problem, and saving, quitting, and then reopening the game fixed it for me ^^
