I have a question, I've been trying to download can-gen with linux but i'm not sure how, and I haven't found any tutorials on how to download it with linux, could I have help with that?
The best thing I can suggest is asking for help on the official discord in one of the channels in the tech and game support section. Other than that, no idea how to help. Sorry
I don't know if this suggestion will be seen, but anyway- Adding a queen and den dad role?? I know if a cat is caring for kittens they will show up in the queen section. I just think it'd be cool if we could have characters who are permanently in the nursery, fostering kittens and just general caretaking of the camp (like Daisy in the books) but they personally don't have any biological or adoptive kits.
I know right! I think it'd be cute to see a character who kind of fosters/adopts kits and is kind of known as a strong mother figure, and for people who make stories out of their generated clans, this could be helpful (maybe?)
I accidentally deleted an older version of this mod, and when I went to download it again, it's a completely different game (exaggerated)! On the older version, there were text files that I could change in order to change my cats and the clans. On the newer version, I cannot find those. I'm not a coding expert, and have no software used to code. Is there a way to modify my cats in the newest version, or is there an older version available for download?

hey, you probably won't see this, but when I try the online version (because I don't know how to download it.) it brings me to a blank screen. I reloaded my computer and restarted the game time after something, nothing happened. I don't know if it's an update or something wrong with my PC, if you might know why, please tell me :)
Yeah, it does the same thing for me sometimes. I think it might just be a bit buggy? For me, after waiting a bit (like 5-6 minutes) and the screen is still black, I try to reload the page and wait again. Usually the page starts working. But sometimes it also doesn't. So you've just gotta play around with the page.

While I went onto the next moon it said something along the lines of, "You clan heard rumors that the exiled cat Sugar died recently" although they were a kittypet. I thought I'd just stick this in the comments
Were they a kitty pet who used to be in your clan that you kicked out? I think they changed it so that cats can sometimes change their names to be more loner-like if exiled too, so it could be that if that’s what you meant.

What do you mean it won't let you download it onto your Windows laptop? Like, is there a message popping up telling you why or is there a different issue?

Have you produced a new update? The Game says to update, but when I tried to update, my virus protection indicated that it had found a Trojan. I tried to find the update on this page but the last dev log was for the April Update.
dev version is quite buggy and does just entirely break sometimes however this could also be an issue on your end, especially if you're running from source code (also you posted this 10 days ago so idk if you've sorted it out by now. if so ignore me)

It's just a blank screen and when I click or press a button a message comes up saying Clangen.exe is not responding. I'm not sure if I should just wait longer or download it again. If you know any solution to this it be greatly appreciated. (I'm on Windows 10 by the way in case that helps)
Ive seen this happen to other before, I myself haven't see a solution to this. the best I can suggest is to redownload and transfer your saves. you could also try restarting your computer (If you haven't already

Struggling to run the game on Chromebook, tried following the instructions on the Google doc but a folder for saves isn't showing up at all. Is there a different folder I need to copy because of the update? Separate note, love the game.

If you know what OS your computer runs on (windows, mac, linux, etc), then download the file that corresponds to that OS. This google doc might help you out more, and if it doesn’t, ask in the discord server.
Does anyone know how to fix the websites "black screen" glitch? I have tried multiple times to look up a video or tutorial, but I just can't find it. If anyone has figured out a way to bypass it or fix it, please let me know! (This happens every time I create a new clan and close the tab, then I wait a week or two *Last time I had to wait for a MONTH* and it normally fixes itself)
There is a mobile version, it is a website. It doesn't have the same atmosphere as the pictures you see on screen, but it is similar. The link is above at the section labeled "Links" or, I will paste it here https://clangen-web.github.io/
(The website has quite a few bugs, so if you can play on computer instead I would recommend that)
In short, there’s no plans for a mobile version because it would be hard to make one (especially since no one’s making money from the game). If you don’t have a laptop/PC you can’t play, sadly.

“No, it’s not officially on mobile, nor are there are no plans to move it onto mobile. In order to do so, we would have to recode the entire game from python3 to python2, which uses a different coding language and doesn’t translate well. It would be too buggy and our devs have enough to focus on right now.”

I've figured it out, I hadn't realized it was part of the game until recently.

Multiple created Clans will not interact with each other, and I highly doubt that this will be in the plans, as that seems like it would be incredibly complicated, if not impossible, to code
