The same thing happened to me, (Im on Mac) but I did manage to fix it. All you have to do is find it in finder, and then go from there, usually finder tells you a list of instructions if your having trouble downloading it !! hope this helps. ^^ Don't worry it does work !!

i'm assuming by "copy of the first game" you mean your saves are the same? there's technically no way to remove saves from one clangen download and have them on another since they lead back to the same folder, and anything that happens on a clan on one game will happen on the other
Go to Settings, then click "Privacy and Security", then scroll down to the bottom. You should see a button prompt that asks you if you want to open Clangen regardless. Click yes.
Hey so there's this update file thing and every time I try to open it to update the game it automatically closes out whether I press any key or just let time 5 sec timer go, so any help would be great (I'm a window user btw)
Recent update, seems like I don't get the tiny kit sprites with the closed eyes anymore. They look multiple moons old from birth. Friend of mine has the newborn kit sprites. Is this a glitch? I'm very sad, I love the tiny babies :(

for windows (I don’t have any other device to test this on but it should be kind of the same I think???) download the correct .zip, extract it from downloads to wherever you want, go to the “clangen” folder, and search for “clangen.exe” and open it! Your antivirus may flag it but it’s not malicious or anything!

I love this game so much ahhh!! I got a few suggestions for this game! :D - You can make a specific cat do an action (Echo'star told bramble'pelt was rude) - I'm not sure if this is already added to the game, but it'd be interesting if another cat hated a cat so much they got killed. I feel like its be rlly cool if decisions mattered way more! (or its just me.) - When you make your own clan theres randomly generated clans that are going to be involved in the story. It would be cool if you let the player make the other clans and also the cats! Or let the player have other clans and mash it up with the current clan they have. (if that makes sense) - Its a bit annoying for me when you switch clans it all the sudden kicks you out of the game. I know thats how its supposed to be, but it would have been better if it didn't

cats can murder each other if their dislike or jealousy get to hate or resentment! but i had a bloodthirsty medicine cat murder a cat they only very slightly disliked (just a little less of one bar), so i guess it's also really rng
+ you can customize bordering clans in your current clan, you can go into your clan's json file (not the folder) in open data directory > saves, and rename your bordering clans
it depends not only on ur PC but if u have a phone or not. The game doesn't download on phone and there are certain ways to download it, you may also need the computer app called "Itch.io" to download it on PC
it used to work just fine, but I'm not sure what changed, the screen goes to the loading screen then goes black right after. I asked my friend and she said she was having the same problem, I re-downloaded all the files, reloaded and reopened the page, but it just won't work.

Is there anyone who can help me fix this? I have a cat who has had a sprain for, somehow, -2 moons? she's had it for a several moons, and I think I saw one time that it said she had recovered, but she still has the injured sprite and can't go on patrols. My save has been really buggy lately, so I'm sure this is a glitch of some kind.

last i heard there's currently only one person working on the web version, since the main dev of the web version stepped down if i remember. there may be more people who have joined the web version team, but unfortunately it's going to be near-impossible to replicate the newest version of downloadable clangen in a website
I made a OC called chilly from this game. She is a former loner who was found wandering around on Podclan territory as a 4 moon old kit. Her appearance is a red and pepper-blue spotted Mackrell tabby who wears jays wings on her tail. Quickly she was prophesied and Her mate, Fallenrunner, (a creamy colour point Tom who wears cardinal feathers) Was murdered. Luckily his apprentice saw this, immediately telling her and resulting in a cats exile. Chilly is now peacefully living in podclan as the deputy along with her many kits, though there is more too come snd she senses it.
when this is downloaded, will it take you into a new tab, window, or will it take you to the file? Basically i want to know if i can easily exit it and get out of fullscreen.
hey- do you have any details? and what operating system are you using? (Windows, Mac, or Linux/Chromebook?) There's a myriad of reasons why you might not be able to open the game

don’t worry, it’s because it’s an unrecognized .exe file. It’s not malicious, it’s your computer/antivirus falsely flagging it!

The game isn't fullscreen by default, so I'm not sure if this is really a problem? And it doesn't generally open any new windows when it's downloaded

once you've extracted it, the thing you actually need to open can be a bit buried in the file, so you might be opening the wrong thing
