How do I download this on a Chromebook? I came here from a link asking where to download clangen for Chromebooks, and it said as long as it's not a school Chromebook, it should work, but every time I try and open the file I get error 404. Help, please?
I really enjoy this game! It's a great little timewaster and I get very attached to the clans I build. One thing that could be really cool is if there was some way of managing multiple clans at once, or having my multiple clans interact - like, say I have WaveClan and GladeClan both created, I could have members of GladeClan bump into each a WaveClan patrol, or ask to borrow herbs, or have a battle, or meet each other at a gathering and form opinions of each other every so often. Each moon I would be able to manage the patrols and affairs of both clans before progressing. I feel like that could really increase the immersion and fun, but obviously also increase the complexity, so I understand if that wouldn't ever be possible. I'm al;so curious if there's ever a way to bring back/recover cats who get lost or stolen by Twolegs :0 Either way, thanks for maintaining this game!
I ended up sticking my head into the discord for a nosy, and it looks like the devs probably won't be adding this (there's an item in the FAQ about how it's not possible for cats from different saves to interact), which is understandable since it'd really increase the scope of the project, so it'll have to stay in my imagination for now :') There is a mod called OtherClansGen that seems to do something like this, though!
I did have another thing I forgot to say, which was that I'd love if there was a hunger/freshkill-pile-fullness mechanic, so that hunting patrols would feel meaningful and leaf-fall and leaf-bare actually felt harsher. Maybe hungry cats would fail patrols or fall ill more often, and hungry apprentices would have a harder time gaining experience, that sort of thing :0

i think there's another file that also dictates the hierarchy for eating, but it took some extensive nosing around so i forgot about it
Since the new update, the app simply won't open for me. It was a bit of a hassle to get my antivirus to let me download the game in the first place, so I'd rather not delete and redownload it but I will if I must. Thoughts?
Edit: Uninstalling and reinstalling the files seems to have fixed it, in case anyone has the same problem.

It was moved to the settings place INSIDE the actual game place , sadly I do not know why it has changed , I don't think you can move it . I haven't checked .
Recently I had a look at the files and I noticed that, even if the text was right for it, there are some patrol images that I have never seen. Is this is a glitch or if it's the amount of cats? I don't have the gore in patrol art setting disabled, so I really don't know.

i think you can unexile a cat by going into the clan_cats file and searching for the exiled cat then turning ""exiled": true," to ""exiled": false," + making ""status": exiled," to ""status: (whatever rank the cat is in the clan e.g. deputy, warrior, elder) but i haven't tried it with any exiled cats i have
Are we no longer allowed to manipulate the saves like we used to be able to? I'm asking cause I lost cats I didn't want to lose yet and accidentally saved when I didn't want too. I swear the game loves to target and kill off my elders which are also my mediators.
This game is all i ever wanted as a kid i am enjoying this so much! thank you this gives me all the special serotonin, if i wasn't broke I would donate.
hey! i'm on a mac and it keeps downloading as a dmg/not letting me open it. i'm not used to downloading games n such onto my laptop yet, so i was hoping for some guidance! thanks in advance xx
In case you still need this, usually whenever you download a game and it goes to your downloads, from your downloads folder you control-click and open it that way to run it for the first time !
We don't have many contributors working on this port of ClanGen currently, but the issue you're having is pretty well-known. You can try and just wait it out as it will occasionally fix itself, but the most reliable way to fix the issue is to clear your cache! This will unfortunately delete all current Clans you have though. A quick google search can show you how to clear your cache if you're unfamiliar with the process.
Unfortunately not. The only supported systems are Windows, Mac, and Linux, along with a very specific and hard to set up way discovered on Android phones. You can try resizing your window on the online version or clearing your cache if your screen is popping up black (this will sadly delete all clans though).
i don’t have a computer so i’ve been playing on the online version, but my screen is stuck. it’s zoomed in and i’m unable to play because of the position and i cant get it to go full screen anymore. can i get any help?
If your screen is stuck and zoomed in try rotating your screen so that it is like a phone. I had the same problem. I don't know if it will unfreeze you screen this is just what worked for me personally.

Whenever I try the online version, then when it's done loading in it's just completely blank (just like black).
It’s just being updated, it can take a little while. As in a few days.

It's possible, just finicky and tricky to get set up. I'd suggest joining the discord for tech support if you can.

you need to make sure the window isn't fullscreen and then resize it till it works. There's not really a better solution than that unfortunately.

the web version will work on an iPad, but the downloadable version will not.

you might need to move your files into a text editor like Text? (I don't really know how Chromebook works so apologies if that doesn't make sense)

I know we've seen a few bugs with patrol art not showing up, so most likely that's it. Hopefully they'll all get found and fixed.

2 . Extract all the files
3 . Open the file inside it
4 . Scroll till u see a file named ' clangen ' click it and see if it works !
P.S After u extract it the clan gen file should have the logo

no, you cannot currently unexile a cat.
Cruel Season is planned to be worked on once all the features of Expanded Mode are finished, since it'll be a harder version of Expanded.

yup saves are still available to be messed with. You can click the "open data directory" button in your game settings to access them.
